Carbon rims are often lighter and stiffer than aluminum rims, which translates to riding faster. With carbon rims, you'll need to use specific brake pads to slow down. You don't want to use aluminum-specific brake pads on a carbon rim. The RideFast Racing Carbon Brake Pad Set is engineered by Kool-Stop specifically for RideFast's carbon braking surfaces. They deliver excellent modulation, heat dissipation, and stopping power while also offering solid pad life. They are sold as a complete set of 4 pads, are Shimano/SRAM or Campy compatible, and works great with other modern carbon brake tracks as well.
